Dawn Marie Johnson. MSW
Dawn Marie, a passionate advocate and influential community leader from the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate of the Lake Traverse Reservation, holds a Master’s in Social Work from the University of South Dakota. She made history in 2023 as the first woman of color elected to the Sioux Falls School District School Board, where she continues to champion equitable education. Beyond her role in education, Dawn Marie actively contributes to her community through service on the Bridging the Gap Board and the Levitt at the Falls Foundation. More on Dawn Marie Johnson
