NASW-SD committees involve members in the development and delivery of services, represent member opinions and help serve member needs. Board members often chair committees. All committee members are members of NASW.
Committees create opportunities and ensure the values of the profession transcend to the ethical work of social workers, the education of future social workers, and in the efforts to end systemic oppression, racism, and poverty in every state. The chapter committees function as a leader in and a catalyst to policy change, as a resource for information and training, and provide opportunities for social workers to connect and grow.
